The Horticultural Crops Postharvest Biology & Technology Lab at Seoul National University focuses on understanding the physiological, biochemical, and molecular mechanisms that affect the quality and storability of horticultural crops after harvest. Our lab’s research integrates plant physiology, molecular biology, and omics-based analysis to investigate senescence, stress responses, and quality changes during storage and distribution. By developing advanced postharvest management and storage technologies, our lab aims to reduce postharvest losses, enhance freshness and nutritional value, and contribute to sustainable and efficient food systems. Through both fundamental and applied research, our lab strives to bridge scientific discovery with practical solutions that improve the economic and environmental sustainability of horticultural production.
